INSTANT ART WORKSHOP

Join the BEAUTIFUL GRAINY MUSH for a hands-on Instant Art workshop. We'll start in the gallery and discuss the artwork on display and use some of the artists images as a point of inspiration for our own artwork. Afterwards, we will discuss all the basics of using your camera and will touch upon some simple basic concepts in photography before venturing out in to city for some hands on experience. At the end, we'll each walk away with 8 of our own Polaroid artworks. We supply the camera, 1 pack of color film per person and all refreshments in the gallery.

Learn how to take beautiful portraits with minimal equipment. Whether you would like to take flattering photographs of family and friends, or you are thinking of taking your photography further, this introduction afternoon will give you a great basic foundation in portrait photography using available light. Including a demonstration from our special guest.

The 19th-century technique of wet-plate collodion photography, and the tintype process in particular, is undergoing something of a renaissance at the moment as digital photography prompts people to explore older analogue methods. This introduction will give you a great basic understanding of the processes involved in the photography, development and printing. Special guest Peter van Hal.
